The short version

Spacedog does not collect, store or share any of your data. It has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising.

What the app reads

To show what's using your disk, Spacedog reads the names, sizes and dates of files and folders you give it access to. This happens entirely on your Mac. File contents are only read by the duplicate finder, on your Mac, to compare files. Nothing is uploaded.

Spacedog keeps your scan history (folder names and sizes) on your Mac so it can show what changed. You can delete it at any time in Settings.

Purchases

Pro purchases through the Mac App Store are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Spacedog only learns whether Pro is unlocked.

If you buy Pro for the version downloaded from this website, the app sends your license key to our payment provider to check it. Nothing else is sent.
